I’m a journalist  from Cleveland, Ohio, but currently pursuing journalism in Beirut, Lebanon. In May 2014, I graduated from the nationally recognized E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. In the spring of 2014, I received the Bob Considine Foreign Correspondence Internship Funding Award, which gave me the opportunity to pursue foreign correspondence anywhere in the world. As the first recipient to go to Lebanon and it being my first country abroad, I went East. This blog highlights  the obstacles I face  as an expat, things that continue to surprise me and my experiences as a foreign journalist trying to learn the language, understand the people and to provide another voice to people whose main source of information is western media.

Good luck in your adventure , I don’t how I ended up at your website but I found it to be honest and interesting. I am Lebanese and Lebanon is a fascinating and magical place to visit or live in, but please stay safe in this land were anything can happen at any moment as u should know by now.
Take care and keep posting your journal 🙂
